Makes approx 18 muffins – serves 4 to 6
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a muffin pan(s)
In a mixing bowl wisk together ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce and spoon 1/2 of mixture into the bottoms of greased muffin pans. Set aside remaining sauce.
In another mixing bowl, thoroughly mix turkey, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, garlic, ginger and bread crumbs.
Spoon meat mixture into muffin pan on top of sauce, fill cups all the way to the top but not above the edge.
Put pan(s) in preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes
Remove from oven and spoon the remaining sauce on the tops of the muffins and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Remove and serve!
