Once our learning sessions for the day were over I headed up to my room to get prettied up for the cocktail party, after all I had flown all this way, I needed to try the famous BlissTini!

I got all dolled up in my knee length black skirt, my white w/ black and pink flowers strapless top and my new black mary jane pumps.  Made my makeup a bit more “night time” and splashed on some perfume for fun. 

Headed down to The Pink Slip to mingle, wander and have a couple of drinks in hopes of maybe talking to someone. 

One thing I can say about this weekend, it has made me painfully aware just how annoyingly shy and introverted I am, and how much I really dislike small talk with people I don’t know, sad huh?  How am I supposed to get to know people better if I don’t like to make mindless chatter with them?  I’ll get over it eventually I’m sure. 

After sipping on my BlissTini for a while and chatting with a lady that liked my back tattoo, I found someplace to sit but quickly felt out of place as the ladies I was sitting near weren’t even there for the conference (long story).  But, within a few minutes, Jenny from MomminItUp came by to say hi as she recognized me from Twitter.  She grabbed me and took me over to her table to meet her friends.  I really wish I could remember their names right now, but I can’t, so I’ll recall them later.

After chatting with the girls for a bit, I went to find some snacks and grabbed a glass of wine.  Chatted with a few more people while trying to get up the nerve, again, to go talk to Jen Lancaster.  Man, I suck!

Ended the cocktail party talking with a really nice lady from Knoxville named Lisa and had dinner with her as well.  Dinner was a delicious and very filling plate of Chicken Parmesan and and penne pasta with bread.

After dinner there was a PJ party with a showing of Mama Mia going on, but by then I was SO tired I just went to my room, took a bath, talked to the hubby and crashed!
