So Thanksgiving is in 2 days… That pleases me to no end.. Not only do I get to spend the day with Mike, both of my sisters, nephew and friend Michelle.. We’re so going to put ourselves into a food coma (yes, I AM Thankful for food.) .. But I get 5, yes count them, 5 days off of work. PAID! I’m taking tomorrow off to run a friend to the airport and then pick up my sister and nephew.. Then us girls (the sisters and I) and nephew are gonna just dink around town, getting stuff ready, hanging out etc.
I’m very excited for all the fun stuff we have planned this busy weekend. It will be nice to just hang out with friends and family
More details on Sunday I’m sure!
Hope everyone else has a Happy Happy Thanksgiving!
This has been a very nice and relaxing weekend..
After work on Friday a few of us went out for happy hour.. Tried to go to Paddy’s but it was packed.. so we wandered up the street to the Yamhill ... wow, talk about a dive bar.. I hadn’t been to a place that tiny since the days in Spokane ... it was interesting.. nothing like $4 pitchers of PBR.. hah. There were about 10 of us, and we took up about 1/2 the bar.. it was funtimes.. We left there and I took Jodi home, then headed home myself to hang out at home and watch tv
Saturday was spent just hanging out at home.. I made us some waffles for breakfast and we watched a few episodes of Smallville.. I made us some yummy steak with sauteed mushrooms, baked potato and broccoli.. it was so good..
Today has been pretty much the same, hanging out at home.. doing a bunch of laundry, made some steak fajitas for dinner.. and then we made chocolate chip cookies for dessert.. mmm.. I also rented Ratatouille and Evan Almighty.. both funny and cute movies
I think I’m going to have to put Ratatouille on my Christmas Wish List.. loved that movie
Now it’s bedtime
This last weekend was incredibly busy. Sometimes, I like it like that.. othertimes, not so much
This was a good weekend.. Friday night I worked late, since I was planning on going to Harveys with my sister, Michelle, Lance and some of his friends.. it was pointless to drive all the way home just to turn around and go back downtown.. So I just stayed at work.. We ordered pizza, had a couple of beers and got some work done.. Harvey’s was a riot. All 3 of the comedians were funny stuff. Heck, even my taxi driver on the way home happened to be a part time amateur comedian. He was cracking me up!
Saturday I got up and stopped by the apartment office to pick up a package and finally change my name on their files. Well changing my name meant I had to resign all of our lease papers. What a pain in the ass… After that I went out to Jim and Becca’s to pick up Becca to go to a Pampered Chef party at my sisters house. That was fun times.. I ordered a garlic press, fancy huh? But I got some good ideas for Christmas! :D Becca and I left, stopped at Target then picked Mike up go to out to their house with Becca. After a while deliberating dinner was decided upon and Becca and I ran to Safeway to procure some foods.. I grilled up some steaks and we had baked potatoes and corn on the cob with them.. Yummmmy stuff that’s for sure! We all hung around drinking wine and chit chatting until it was time to go home and go to bed..
Sunday I just lounged on the couch catching up with some tv.. Jim, Becca and the kids were planning on coming over for dinner.. so after a while I had to go to the store and get some stuff.. We had oven fried chicken, some weird potato concoction I tried making and asparagus… It was good stuff.. I’ll have to try to make the potatoes again sometime, they were good. We all played some Guitar Hero and then Mike and I watched Blades of Glory and went to bed. That was an amusing movie to say the least… Will Farrell cracks me up though..
That’s about all that’s going on.. Trying to lay low until Thanksgiving
