This morning we got up and went to look at this house:

And well, I love it.. LOVE IT.. The master bedroom is huge, the bathroom has a double sink vanity with a big bathtub (not a jacuzzi tub, but big enough to take a bath in) and a HUGE walk in closet as well.  The other 2 bedrooms are good sized.  The room we’ll use as an office is huge and the one we’ll use as a guest room is well, just about big enough to be used as a guest room.  The kitchen is much prettier in person than in the pictures.. the backyard is super low maintenance.. and we can have pets if we want them.  It has huge cathedral ceilings, but not the annoying windows our current apartment has.. And it has central air, so that will really help on the electricity bills.  Also, everything is gas, fireplace, stove, drier, hot water heater, forced air heating and a/c.. all gas, so much cheaper than electricity! 

We took an application and gave the guy a check for the credit check.. I’ll fill it out and scan/email it to him tomorrow.. I should hopefully know by Wednesday or Thursday if we’re approved.. So, everyone keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed, I want this house!!  Oh so excited OH, one of the coolest features of this house, I checked with Verizon, and Fios (internet and tv) is an option.. Thank goodness. We’ll save about $50 a month compared to Comcastasuck.. Yay

So, our lease is up in a month and we want to move out of apartment hell.  Don’t get me wrong, our apartment is nice and all.. But we’re just done with apartment living.  Not ready to buy a house yet, so we’re looking to rent something with no shared walls, a garage and a yard.. So we’ve been looking since like August.. Really to just get a good idea of what we would like to have in a house, what we require and where we’d like to be.  We have also been researching rental agencies, etc.. So now it’s time to get down to it and find a place. 

We’ve looked at 1 place, we went today to look at this place, which has moved itself to the very bottom of the list… The master bedroom is OK sized, kind of long and narrow, but the master bath only has 1 sink and you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the VERY HUGE closet.  The other 3 bedrooms upstairs are just too small… They would’ve made better use of the space by only having 3 bedrooms.  There is a formal living room and then a family room that is connected to the kitchen.. Both rooms are just too small.  There is also no real space for a dining room table.  There is a microwave, but it’s a countertop microwave and not above the stove, thus taking up a lot of room on the counter.  The plus sides to this house?  HUGE Garage and very big back yard, but what is the point in having a big back yard if we can’t have a dog?:

This stunting home is locating in Hillsboro, close to the Quatama max station, Intel campuses, and very friendly neighborhood.

Christmas was really quiet this year.  I came down with the flu on the Sunday before (kind of was feeling run down on Saturday.) and was super sick for a few days.  Monday was the worst, I’ve not felt that crappy in a really long time and I hope to not experience it again anytime soon that’s for sure.  So we just stayed home in our pajamas and watched tv between naps.  We got impatient and opened our presents on the 24th (like we always end up doing.. need to stop that.) .. But mostly it was because Mike wanted to give me one of my presents to make me feel better.  He had gotten me a big fluffy pink robe! 

For Christmas dinner, we had chicken noodle soup… how awesome is that? :(
